Quote Process Guide

How to Get a Faster Home System Quote

A simple photo checklist for faster water heater, tankless, mini-split, filtration, and HVAC quote review.

Better photos create better first conversations

The PHS quote process starts with photos because photos reduce guessing. They help us see the visible equipment, access, labels, connections, and surrounding conditions before we talk about pricing direction. You do not need professional photos. You just need clear, bright photos from the right angles.

For water heaters

  • Full photo from floor to top
  • Top water connections
  • Gas line or electrical connection
  • Vent pipe if gas
  • Data label/model plate
  • Drain pan and drain route
  • Surrounding walls and access path

For tankless upgrades

  • Existing water heater location
  • Gas line and meter area if visible
  • Venting route or exterior wall
  • Electrical outlet or panel if relevant
  • Preferred tankless location
  • Water heater label and surrounding access

For mini-splits

  • Room from each corner
  • Preferred indoor wall
  • Exterior wall behind or near that location
  • Possible outdoor condenser location
  • Electrical panel
  • Windows, doors, and ceiling height if possible

For whole-home filtration

  • Main water entry location
  • Water heater area
  • Existing softener or filter if present
  • Garage or exterior area where equipment may go
  • Nearby drain or outlet if present
  • Wide photo showing space and access

For HVAC replacement

  • Outdoor condenser
  • Indoor furnace or air handler
  • Data labels
  • Thermostat
  • Electrical disconnect
  • Duct connections and filter area
  • Access path to equipment
The best rule: take one wide photo, then two or three close-up photos of labels and connections. More context is better than a single tight photo.

Why we ask for multiple photos

Multiple photos help us understand the visible scope and reduce the need for a sales appointment just to gather basic information. If we need more information, we will ask. If the project still needs in-person review, we will say that clearly.

Submit and keep your phone nearby

After you submit the form, PHS reviews the details and follows up with next steps. If your issue is urgent, call after submitting so we know timing matters.

Ready for a clearer next step? Upload photos of your setup and PHS will review the visible scope before scheduling whenever possible.
